On 10th August Lib Dem Councillors wrote to Eileen Lintill – Leader and Susan Taylor – Cabinet Member for Planning asking them to provide a detailed briefing document on meetings held with Southern Water and the Environment Agency.

This letter was sent after both Cabinet Members claimed at a Council Meeting that the amendments proposed by the Lib Dems were unnecessary because they were already being “actioned”.

Adrian Moss said “On behalf of our group I have written to the Leader and Cabinet Member for Planning asking them to provide comprehensive details of their meetings with Southern Water and the Environment Agency. I have also asked for details of meeting held between our MP and Government Ministers. Telling us they are doing all they can but not providing transcripts is not acceptable. “
